At In Touch, we have made several virtual adaptations in order to provide our network with engaging and beneficial events throughout the last year. From online courses, virtual coaching, and online networking events, we successfully provided opportunities for members to realize and develop their skills.
However, we cannot ignore the value of in-person interactions and how they facilitate professional advancement, so we have slowly started to bring back small meetings in cities across the USA.
On July 15th, some of our members met in Cleveland, Ohio and also in New York City for two separate informal gatherings.
One attendee emphasized that “The In Touch local networking events are a wonderful opportunity to expand my contacts with other like minded business professionals. There are many smart, good people that are worth knowing.”
We are thrilled to be able to organize such events that foster new introductions between members located in similar regions, with diverse career and industry backgrounds.
“Your network isn’t just the people you meet at the event…That’s what building a network is all about. Maybe the people at the event can’t help me or my business directly, but maybe they are networked with someone who can! In Touch does a good job setting up the opportunity – what you make of it is up to you.”
A member in NYC told us, “Not only did I get to meet a diverse group of talented people, but a couple of my past colleagues. So, I’m very grateful for the invite. This was part of your program I enjoy immensely. Also, it was the first time that I have attended an in-person meeting where the discussion took place at such a high corporate level.”
“Thanks again for the invite to the recent social get-together, met some mighty fine people, and it was very enjoyable to not be talking to someone through a screen for a change.”
On July 29, a group of In Touch members and start-ups gathered at the 1909 Accelerator in West Palm Beach, FL for a night of networking with like-minded creative individuals and to meet this impressive startup community actively seeking out board members.
After the event, one attendee said: “Thanks 1909 and In Touch, it was a wonderful event with such interesting people and amazing startups.”
Participants had the opportunity to present their startups and small businesses to In Touch Advisors, and then begin building relationships through networking.
“It was a great event and a terrific group of creative go-getters at 1909. I am looking forward to the next one!”
