Reporting to the Senior Vice President and General Manager, Pepsi Lipton. I held full financial, operational, governance and strategic responsibility for the Geneva-based global joint venture between Unilever and Pepsico, fulfilling a key collaborative role between the two shareholders. Responsibility for UK regulatory compliance (for example Occupational Health and Safety standards) and compliance with the Code of Business Principles for the Unilever UK operating company and the Unilever Global Service functions based in the UK, encompassing more than 3000 employees.
Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller and Group CFO. Key financial leader and collaborator with the Chief Enterprise & Support Officer and the Group CIO in creating a new global business services organisation, with global operating centres built across Bangalore, Manilla and Katowice. As chief strategic architect and subsequently as lead of the PMO, I played a lead role in partnering the Group CFO in the global finance function transformation program.
Responsible for entire investment portfolio and maintaining alignment of stakeholder interests across employees and Unilever. I reshaped investment strategy and successfully managed all stakeholders to implement new pension fund regulations which required redistribution of historical surpluses.
Responsible for finance, governance and risk management for the South Africa Foods & Home & Personal Care business unit; key collaborative point of contact with 25% minority shareholder Remgro Pty Ltd. Main orchestrator and negotiator of mergers and acquisitions, leading resulting integration/carve outs. Turnover >€2bn.
Responsibility for full financial regulatory/statutory compliance of the Robertsons Foods group and member of Audit & Code committees.
Promoted to work in London with the Senior Vice President M&A and Group CFO to source and pursue M&A opportunities for Unilever’s four product categories and its global footprint. Led large multi-country M&A transactions entailing significant business unit disposals, restructuring of global joint ventures and global business acquisitions.

Responsible for finance, governance and risk management for South Africa Foods business unit; primary relationship owner with minority shareholder, Remgro Pty Ltd.
